Host Organization Requirements
To ensure a high-quality experience for all participants, host organizations must meet the following standards:
-
Legal Entity: Must be a legally recognized U.S. entity — such as a business, nonprofit, or educational institution.
-
DS-7002 Training Plan: A comprehensive training plan is required, outlining objectives, skills to be developed, supervision methods, and evaluation procedures.
-
Supervision & Evaluation: Ongoing, structured supervision at the worksite, along with periodic program evaluations, is essential.
-
Financial Stability: The organization must demonstrate the financial capacity to support the trainee for the program’s duration.
-
Structured Learning: Training must follow a clear, structured format and be aligned with the trainee’s academic or career background — it cannot be simple on-the-job work.
